Haven't seen prices that low since my time at schlumberger.

I brought gas at 1.90 on the way home and drove past another station that had it at 1.80. It dropped 10 cents in real time! I wish I had a z06 because gas is worthless right now, great time to be a big V8! (...but terrible to be anything else unfortunately)

Is that for regular ? It was 1.61 for regular by my work.

I actually popped checked gas prices by my house last night since I was driving to the store anyway. Still $3.90 + for 91. Luckily I have like half a tank so I will outlast these stations. It’s also around $3.00 like a 5 minute drive away so...

Downside - nowhere to go (for a lot of people, including work).

We’ve got to f ocus on the few positives here.

umm... you work in oil
*looks nervously around at his own job*

Of course now is the time that my gas-thirsty land yacht doesn’t work...

Luckily, I'm not in oil for this collapse. Hope you survive this.

I just paid $2.24 for 93 in PA which is...unheard of. Some places by my friend in Ohio were down to $1.30 for regular this weekend, I was told . I’d be shocked if Oklahoma or NM wasn’t below $1/gal

Here on the central coast of California, Costco is at $2.80/$3.10 for 87/91

I want to go fill up every gas container I have and wait until I can go on a road trip . I’ll have gas stored in flower pots, Yeti tumblers, and in the kiddy pool.

i haven;t filled up in 3+ weeks and my truck’s been sitting in my driveway for over a week

right - it’s super variable up here right now, I paid $2.48 for 92 a few days ago, but there are still stations selling it for a full buck more.

I’m in Ohio and passed a station on the way to work that had regular for $1.16. I’ll probably need to fill up in about a week and expect it to be even lower then.

This is more about the pissing war between OPEC and Russia than Corona, though, isn’t it?

I mean, the collapse of demand doesn't really help.

No, it doesn’t.

Yeah, and there’s hardly anywhere to go.

Mexican oil is at ten bucks a barrel. Its ludicrous.

I’m still paying more than that for 87. I don’t know what the deal is.
![]() 03/30/2020 at 20:09 |

I’d happily pay $8 a gallon if I could make this contagion go away.
![]() 03/30/2020 at 20:56 |

The collapse in demand caused the price war. So Corona started it, Russia and Saudi Arabia just escalated it.

I may be taking the 911 for the next costco run.

I mean, I wouldn’t oppose paying more if that meant it’d go away.

Taxes maybe?

It’s understandable . It’s a bit of a difficult time.

I don’t know. I’m in AZ and we don’t pay a lot of taxes here. Our gas prices are usually half that of CA. They’re almost the same now
